Funeral services for Marvin A. Lynch, 86, of Tulsa, were held Friday, June 24, 2016 at Family Fellowship Church in Tulsa, OK. Reverend Jim Kent officiated and burial was in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Casket bearers were Charley White, Jimmy Sears, Dustin White, Danny Farrow, Will Norwood and Phillip Johnson, Jr. Honorary casket bearers were Trey Frazier, Cody Norwood, Chris Frazier, Colton White, Anthony Frazier and John Frazier.
Marvin was born October 20, 1929 in Tulsa, OK to Jacob Wright and Mattie (Ward) Lynch. He passed away June 21, 2016 in Tulsa, OK.
Marvin was a jack of all trades, working as a construction steel worker for Borg Steel in Tulsa, a Sunday School teacher, a part-time pastor, and worked for the City of Tulsa for a time. He enjoyed life and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved to spend time with his family, go camping, baking and making pies, reading his Bible and watching westerns. Marvin was a wonderful son, husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and great-great-grandpa.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynch; children, Becky Farrow and husband Danny of Okmulgee, Esther White and husband Charley of Okmulgee and Frank Lynch and wife Robin of Bixby; grandchildren John Frazier and Shelby Harjo, Crystal Frazier, Dustin White and wife Christel; Nicki Norwood and husband Will, Jayme Buchholz, Taylor Lynch, Holly Lynch, Adam Lynch, Landry Buchholz and Reece Buchholz; great-grandchildren, Jordynn Frazier, Chris Frazier, Trey Frazier, Anthony Frazier, Megan Norwood, Cody Norwood, Colton White, Destiny White, Lane Bouse and Levi Bouse; great-great-grandchildren, Chris’Lynn Frazier and Ca’Miyah Frazier; sister, Leatha Savacool; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie M. Lynch; son, Michael A. Lynch; parents, Jacob and Mattie Lynch; and several siblings.
