Funeral services for Martin Ray Pace, Sr., 61, of Sperry, were held Friday, April 24, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Pastor Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Johnny Harp, James Adams, Jared Bass, and Will Bennett.
Martin was born August 2, 1953 in Lodi, CA to Marlene Anderson. He passed away April 21, 2015 in Tulsa, OK.
Martin moved to Oklahoma when he was two years old. He was married in 1975 and had five children. Martin joined the U.S. Army in 1972. He was an associate at Wal-Mart for more than 15 years. Martin loved football, especially the OU Sooners. He enjoyed outings with the family, cookouts, and the outdoors. Martin created and held a very special bond with his son, Marty Pace, Jr. He loved him more than life itself. Martin enjoyed playing with his grandchildren every chance he could. Martin will always be remembered for his kind, giving spirit. He was always helping friends and family and opening his door to anyone of them in need. Spending time with his family was the most important to him.
He is survived by his son, Martin Pace, Jr. and wife Samantha Henry of Sperry; daughter-in-law, Misty Pace of Sand Springs; grandchildren, Cameron Pace of Sand Springs, Peyton Pace of Sperry, Patricia Smith of Sperry, Parklynn Henry of Sperry, Devon Ament of Sand Springs; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Mick Maguire; and Martin Anderson.
