Marilyn Elaine (Corey) Mackey

Funeral services for Marilyn Elaine “Nana” (Corey) Mackey, 74, of Anna, TX, were held Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Gary Mackey, Jason Wiroll, Ali Corsair, Wyatt Corsair, Jeffrey Hunter, Steve Owens, and Charles Wiroll.

Marilyn was born May 24, 1948, in Tulsa, OK, to Charles Eugene Corey and Mary Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Corey-Bates. She passed away July 14, 2022, in Anna, TX surrounded by her loved ones.

Marilyn enjoyed talking over a ham radio and her call sign was “NØOVU”. She was a cashier for Lowe’s. She enjoyed swimming, stained-glass artwork, dancing, motorcycle riding, baking, traveling, and being with her kids and grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Mackey; daughters, Shannon Hunter and husband, Jeff, and Tracie Owens and husband, Steve; granddaughter, Ali Corsair and husband, Wyatt; grandson, Jason Wiroll; great-granddaughter, Charlie Anne; brother-in-love, Gary Mackey; sister-in-love, Sonja Foster; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Corey; mother, Mary Corey-Bates; grandmother, Bertha Hutchinson; brother, Charles Corey, Jr.; and in-laws, Harold and Theda Teasley.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
