Marguerite was born March 6, 1921 in Tulsa, OK to Peter and Sophia Galvan. She passed away March 29, 2014 in Claremore, OK.

Marguerite was the youngest of four children born to Peter and Sophia who had migrated to Tulsa from Mexico City, Mexico. Marguerite enjoyed a childhood filled with many memories of her parents and her seven brothers and sisters. At the age of 18, Marguerite met and married Charles William White. As she was soon to find out, Marguerite would spend most of her first years of marriage alone trying to raise her son Charles, while her husband was fighting in World War II, and being tormented not knowing if he was dead or alive since he had been shot, and was a prisoner of war for six months. Marguerite has had to face many hardships in her life, but she always displayed courage and a truly fierce, independent nature. In fact, she could be downright stubborn and strong willed at times. Marguerite had her own way of thinking and you had better not try to convince her otherwise.

She worked most of her life under a microscope making galvanometers. Marguerite loved and was most proud of her only son and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Tammy Ryan and husband Patrick, Anthia Winsby and husband Travis, and Olivia White; great-grandchildren, Garret Whiteman, Kendra Clark and husband Steve, Alyssa Cravens, and Jase Charles White; those who called her grandma and whom she never left out, Rachel, Amanda, Mindy Jones and husband Andy, Cali, Cassidy, Kelsie, Charlie, Allie, and Maddie; great-great-granddaughter, Lola Jane Clark; brother, Raul Galvan; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Sophia Galvan; sister, Alicia Galvan; brothers, John Galvan and Peter Galvan; and son, Charles Clyde White.
