Funeral services for Margaret H. “Skeeze” Williams, of Owasso, were held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso, OK. Reverend Blake Altman and Reverend Dean Tucker officiated and burial was in Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. Casket bearers were Michael Phelps, Kris Aebischer, Jason Williams, Curt Rothrock, Tommy Arnold, and Eric Williams.
Margaret was born November 26, 1926 in Stigler, OK to Alex Wallis and Margaret Francis (McDow) Pogue. She passed away May 29, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 85.
Margaret worked as a clerk for the AJ Tag Agency in Owasso and the Sperry Tag Agency for many years. She loved to snow ski. Margaret loved being out and never really sat still for long periods of time (just like her dad). She loved music and played the piano for her church for 45 years. Margaret was a very smart woman. She was the best mom to all of her children, and always there for them.
She is survived by her husband, Wally Williams; Children, Karen Aebischer and husband Barry of South Carolina, Kerry Phelps and husband Rick of Owasso, Stephen Williams of Tulsa, Phillip Williams and wife Patsy of Locust Grove, and Paul Williams of Montana; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren;1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Betty Prentice of Skiatook; brothers, Bill Pogue of Bentonville, AR, Jim Pogue and wife Barbara of Sand Springs, and Jerry Pogue of Tulsa; numerous nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joel Williams; grandson, Jonathon Aebischer; and parents, Alex and Margaret Pogue.
