Funeral services for Louella Amanda (Turner) Johnson, 92, of Owasso, OK, were held Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1st Pentecostal Church in Collinsville, OK. Pastor Kyle Holt and Pastor Don Martin officiated, and burial was in Tahlequah Cemetery in Tahlequah, OK. Casket bearers were Joe Mills, Ricky Mills, Jason Dick, Peyton Dick, Seth Lloyd, and Jacob Lloyd. Honorary Casket bearers were Danny Klahr, Jackson McKinney, Leyton McKinney, Baylee Mills, Trinton Mills, Kaylynn Mills and Cambree Dick.
Louella was born August 7, 1932, in Eufaula, OK, to Donnie Turner and Clara Jewell (Day) Turner. She passed away January 27, 2025, in Owasso, OK.
A dedicated community member, Louella, along with her daughter, Karen, was a founding member of the Owasso Jewels – the Owasso Branch of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) organization. Louella dedicated her time to caring for her home and her family. She was a talented baker, who contributed many recipes of her own to cookbook publishers and she even collected cookbooks. She enjoyed working on various crafting projects and was a great seamstress. Louella was an avid gardener, even tilling her own gardens at the age of 87. Louella was considered the family photographer. She loved traveling, by RV and going on cruises. She was a longtime member of the 1st Pentecostal Church of Collinsville.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Fox of Owasso; grandchildren, Joe Mills and wife, Melissa, Ricky Mills, Shauna Murdock and husband, Mickey, Jason Dick and wife, Cortney, and Terri Green; several great-grandchildren she loved dearly; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ona Johnson; daughter, Karen Dick and husband, Terry; son, Gary Johnson; parents, Donnie and Clara Turner; brothers, Lester Turner, Vonnie Turner, Preston Turner, Carl Turner and Delbert Turner; and sisters, Pauline Sanders, Shirley Castleberry, and Mildred Christie.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
