Lois worked in the fields with her dad and did janitorial work for several years. In 1955 she rented a room in the basement of an old Standard office building and put in a coffee shop. She ran the coffee shop for several years. Tom Ramsey would roll back the carpet in the living room and get down the fiddle. He would play it while the family did dosey-doe, square dance, and swing that girl around and around. Tom and Lois enjoyed watching Bonanza and going to drive land to watch movies and eat the large chocolate Hersey candy bar. The family had good times in Bakersfield, California. Lois and Tom eventually moved to Lubbock, Texas and worked at Lath ran Department Store where they worked there for several years. She moved to Altus, Ok and she retired and moved to Sperry. Her hobbies included making quilts and crocheting. She could crochet anything that she could visually see. Later God called her into the family of God. She began baking for church dinners and helping with different fundraisers. She would bake pies if someone upset her. She was a member of True Holiness Church in Turley, OK and United Pentecostal Church of Sperry, OK. Lois and her Dad would love to make a garden in Sperry and when Lois would need to go to prayer she would go to the garden to pray. Also one of her favorite songs was In the Garden.
