Lisa Twana LaRue Gartland

Celebration of Life services for Lisa Twana LaRue (Bell) Gartland, 42, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Tulsa Zoo in Tulsa, OK. Phil Johnson officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Tim Gartland, Brad Steele, Sr., Kameron Bell, Noah Steele, Brad Steele, Jr., and Cassius Steele.

Lisa was born on September 3, 1982, in Tulsa, OK, to Connie Jean (Strickland) Bell. She passed away February 3, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.

Lisa lived in Tulsa her whole life. She attended Will Rogers High School and was a member of the JROTC and the color guard and other school activities. As she entered her later years, Lisa took care of her mother and looked after her well-being, then soon after she became a stay-at-home mother and enjoyed being able to spend time with her husband and family. She often loved traveling, going to concerts and camping, and playing bingo. Lisa had an amazing mind and soul, who had a heart of gold for caring for others; she did not leave a single person feeling unloved.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Gartland; children, Myranda Huskey and Kameron Bell; dad, Brad Steele, Sr. and wife, Lori Downs; brother, Bradford Steele, Jr. and wife, Hannah; sis-ter, Elizabeth Thompson; aunt, Roberta Ballard; uncle, Jim Ballard; niece, Aveyah Steele; nephews, Cassius Steele and Noah Steele; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Thompson; mother, Connie Bell; grandpar-ents, Robert Strickland and Betty June Strickland, and Waldo Steele and Donna Steele; aunt, Sherry Collins; uncles, Donald Steele, Billie Strickland, Berry Strickland, and Bobbie Strick-land.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
