Linda (Chatkehoodle) Day

A traditional wake service for Linda (Chatkehoodle) Day, 73, of Tulsa, OK, were held Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Rock Spring Church in Anadarko, OK. Joe Vasquez officiated. Funeral services were held Friday, November 11, 2022, at Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Robert “Bob” Day, Felipe Carrillo, Alex Luna, Jose Vasquez, Jose Guerra, Derrick Chatkehoodle, Mario Alvarado, and Edwin Archaga. Honorary Casket bearers were Josh Johnson, Martin Chatkehoodle, Alan “Papa” Chatkehoodle, Nelson DeJesus, Esteban Martinez, Micah Rose, Stanley Boyiddle, Jon Carrillo, and Christopher Day.

Linda was born April 11, 1949, in Lawton, OK, to Harry Chatkehoodle, Sr. and Agnes (Domebo) Chatkehoodle. She passed away November 5, 2022, in Tulsa, OK.

Linda lived in the Stecker, Anadarko, and Tulsa, OK areas. She attended Riverside Indian School, then at a later time, earned her GED. Linda worked for several places in Anadarko, then later in the Tulsa area. She enjoyed working on puzzles, and puzzle books, playing card games with the family and watching her grandbabies and great grandbabies. Linda also enjoyed going to the casino as well as playing bingo. 

She is survived by her six children, Melinda Day and significant-other, Jose Guerra, Paula Day and significant-other, David Cadiente, Robert Day, Kellie Alvarado and husband, Mario, Marilyn Luna and husband, Sammy, and Carolyn Luna and husband, Alex; adopted daughter, Mary Stumblingbear; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Gabriella Alvarado; 2 great-grandchildren; father, Harry Chatkehoodle, Sr.; mother, Agnes Chatkehoodle; sister, Delores Chatkehoodle; brothers, Arlie Chatkehoodle and Harry Chatkehoodle, Jr.; and nephews, Mitchel Chatkehoodle and Dewayne Chatkehoodle.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
