Linda was born August 7, 1949, in Tulsa, OK, to Herman Glenn Bennett and Florence Louise (Collins) Bennett. She passed away October 21, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, singer-songwriter, and friend. Linda’s early music career began with her singing to farm animals in the barn. At 15 years old, Linda signed with country music legend, Ernest Tubbs, and traveled extensively performing her tribute show to Patsy Cline, her favorite singer. Linda loved music, putting only her family and friends ahead of singing. She was well known in a huge area along with her band, Calm and Country, with her brother, Glenn and friend, Sheryl. She wrote and performed a tribute song for the Oklahoma City Bombing, which CBS, Channel 6 in Tulsa invited the band to perform live during their news broadcast, leaving the entire station in tears. Linda’s fondest memories were her back porch jams with band members, family and friends, enjoying every minute together. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brightened her days, and brought her untold joy and happiness over the years. Linda fought COPD for many years before going home to once again be with her parents and three sisters. During her last months, Linda told the family she was ready to see them again. Linda was a very special lady; she is loved and will be missed so much by her family and friends.

Fly high Songbird, you are free now, go with God.

Love you,  Later.
