Libby Ann Shackelford

Funeral services for Libby Ann Shackelford, 46, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated.

Libby was born November 21, 1977, in Claremore, OK, to Roman Ward Shackelford, Sr. and Jan Leslie (Patten) Shackelford. She passed away January 28, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.

Libby was a wonderful woman that was tough as nails but loved everyone with her whole heart. She was very proud of her Native American heritage and was a citizen of the Osage Nation. Libby was raised in Skiatook and after graduation, went on to become a certified nursing assistant. She later gave birth to a baby girl, Alexis Nichole. Shortly after, Libby welcomed her second baby girl, Kylee Ann, and later her third baby girl, Shelby Dawn. Libby adored her girls and enjoyed spending time with them and her grandbabies. They were her whole world. Libby loved listening to music, anything loud and upbeat. She enjoyed being goofy and was always smiling and laughing at any given time. You rarely saw Libby with a frown. No matter whether life was going rather good or badly, Libby was always positive, spreading love and laughter. If anyone was down and going through a rough patch, Libby made it her mission to listen to their situation, offer to help them however she could, and would brighten their day by making them laugh and smile. Libby was always cooking a good meal and enjoyed inviting others over. She enjoyed going on long rides on Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved going to the lake or any place with water for that matter. Her precious dogs, Layla, Leo, and Lola were her four-legged fur babies, and she loved them more than words can explain. Her brother, Roman, will never forget the times that she was there for him, when no one else was. He will always be grateful for that. Her cousins have 40 years of wonderful memories that were made with . Libby will always be remembered, never forgotten.

She is survived by her daughters, Alexis “Keota” Mazac, Kylee Mazac, and Shelby Shackelford; grandbabies, Dominic, Baylor, and Karma; brother, Roman Shackelford; aunt, Gloria (Dawson) Harris; nephews, Roman Wade, and Joshua Ward; niece, Trinity Alyse; cousin, Sunny Dawson; her beloved dogs, Layla, Leo and Lola; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman, Sr. and Jan Shackelford.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
