Pastor John Carroll officiated, and burial was in Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Casket bearers were Ronnie Tuell, Robert Briksi, Isaiah Verner, Andrew Ponder, and Lane Briksi. Honorary Casket bearers were William Corley, Timothy Hornbeck, Josiah Hornbeck, and Hunter Stevens.
Donnie was born October 5, 1943, in Poteau, OK, to Theodore Franklin “Ted” Milligan and Ruby Audra Milligan. He passed away February 16, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.
Donnie enjoyed working for many years as a mechanic, repairing all kinds of heavy equipment. You name it, he could fix it. He worked up until about 3 years ago when he cut his hand and became sick. He loved to worship God and was very involved in his church. Donnie never missed anything related to church or church activities, whether it was attending services, youth activities or workdays, he was always there. He loved Jesus, his girls and grandchildren. Donnie absolutely adored his wife of 61 years. Even in his last month, Donnie witnessed to his family and friends about “getting right with God all the way, there’s no in between.” Donnie was a quiet man, but he became alive anytime the oneness of God was preached about; He loved preaching about the new birth message and the doctrine of separation. Donnie enjoyed going fishing in his pontoon boat. Donnie and Linda enjoyed just getting in the car and driving with no destination in mind – it was just time spent together. He loved his girls, and grandchildren to distraction.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Milligan; daughters, Sherry Shelton and husband, Bobby, and Cindy Womack and husband, James; grandchildren, Niki Briksi, A.J. Briksi and wife Amber Ponder, Cassaundra Briksi and husband, William Corley, and Ronnie Tuell and wife, Hannah; great-grandchildren Kaydence, Kendal, Katelyn, Kazley, Kailey, Robert, Isaiah, Andrew, Lane, Maggie Grace and Rhett; and many other well-loved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Milligan; and parents, Ted and Ruby Milligan.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
