Funeral services for Lela Mae “Tootie” Crutchfield, 73, of Claremore, were held Friday, February, 11, 2011 at New Life Baptist Church in Claremore, OK. Brother Charles Wyatt officiated and burial was in Oak Haven Cemetery in Claremore, OK. Casket bearers were Ricky White, Tommy Gene Thompson, Jimmy Mack Golden, Adam Thompson, Marty Battenfield, and Matt Chalsant.
Lela “Tootie” Mae Crutchfield was born October 27, 1937 in Lubbock, TX to Roy Bailey and Mary Magdalene (Freeman) Thompson. She passed away January 28, 2011 in Tulsa, OK.
She was a retired homemaker and had worked as a nursing assistant at Claremore Nursing Home for more than 20 years. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Claremore. She was a loving mother and “Granny” to all the grandchildren. She loved her “Dogs,” BooBo, Cookie, Chico and Winkie.
She is survived by her children, Jan Ward and husband Dan Rutledge of Skiatook, Herman White and wife Robin of Pryor; grandchildren, Christopher Province, Matthew Province and wife Courtney, Michael Ward, Ricky White and wife Marina, Heidi White, Mary White, and JoDawn Goodman and husband Randy; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leroy “Bud” Thompson and wife Sandy, Lloyd “Chub” Thompson and wife Sylvia, Tommy Thompson and wife Diane; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Crutchfield; son Ricky White; parents, Roy and Mary Thompson; and sister, Shirley Roberson.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
