Funeral services for Lee DeBoer, 85, of Owasso, OK, were held Friday, June 9, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, OK. Casket bearers were Frank Robertson, Brent DeBoer, Johnny Hess, Kevin Lovelace, Brian Marion, Willie Osten and Robert Mehlhorn. Honorary Casket Bearers were Brian DeBoer, Dale DeBoer, Kenneth Lovelace, Charles Hess, and Walter Knickerbocker.

Lee was born July 4, 1937, in Milhorn, IA, to Robert Dick “Bob” DeBoer and Isabelle Louise (Myers) DeBoer. He passed away June 6, 2023, in Broken Arrow, OK.

Lee, a distinguished individual, had embarked on a new chapter of his life after recently retiring as a co-owner of Dale and Lee's Service with his brother, Dale, in the charming town of Owasso. Beyond his professional endeavors, Lee spent his days with a profound commitment to the betterment of the community as an active participant in the Owasso Sertoma Club, a noble association devoted to serving others. Furthermore, Lee’s passion for the preservation of automotive heritage gave him another creative outlet through his membership in both the revered Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) and the esteemed Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Club (ACD).

He is survived by his daughters, Francis DeBoer of Owasso, and Belinda Robertson and husband, Frank of Owasso; grandchild, Paige Robertson and spouse, Jessie Edwards of Colorado; sister, Shirley Hess and husband, Charles of Owasso; nephew, Johnny Hess and family; brother, Dale DeBoer and wife, Marilee; nephews, Brian DeBoer and wife, Stacie and family and Brent DeBoer and family; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Pat DeBoer; granddaughter, Triston Thomas; and parents, Bob and Isabelle DeBoer.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
