Lawrence Ray "Larry" Robinson

Funeral services for Lawrence Ray “Larry” Robinson, 84, of Sperry, OK, were held Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Sperry Christian Church in Sperry, OK. Dr. Chet Veazey officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Alan Swartz, Kevin Hanlin, Larry Schafnitt, Wayne Williams, Edgar Williams, and Ronnie Plum. Honorary Casket bearers were Leeann Williams, Sandy Schafnitt, Allen Gailey, Jerrie Williams, Stearling Williams, and Jimmy Weins.

Larry was born September 16, 1936 in Joplin, MO, to Alva Raymond and Norene May (Dobson) Robinson. He passed away December 23, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.

Larry was a veteran of the United States Army, having proudly served his country from 1954-1962. He retired from Tulsa County after 20 years as a custodian. Larry enjoyed going fishing and hunting.

He is survived by wife of 42 years, Joyce Robinson; son, Edgar Williams and wife, Jerrie; grandchildren, Wayne Williams and Leeann Williams; brothers, David Robinson and wife, Linda of Broken Arrow and Darrel Robinson and wife, Barbra of Joplin, MO; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alva Robinson; mother, Norene Robinson; and sister, Beverly Joyce (Robinson) Harper.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
