Lawrence was born March 1, 1919 in Coweta, OK to William Narrsis and Stella (Belle) Chartier. He passed away August 21, 2015 in Springfield, MO

Doc was a veteran of World War II and served as a sergeant in the Army’s 45th Infantry. After serving his country, he worked as a plumber, received his master journeyman license, and then finished his career with the City of Tulsa as a safety inspector. In retirement, Doc was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his lake house in Tahlequah for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Elizabeth (Faulkner) Chartier, of Springfield, MO; grandson, Craig Chartier and wife Mari Lee, three great-grandchildren, Aidan, Julian and Audrey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL brother, Robert Chartier of Sand Springs; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, June Cozette (Duggan) Chartier; daughter, Nancy Anne Chartier; four brothers; two sisters; and his parents, William and Stella Chartier.
