Kenneth Casper Schaefer was born December 24, 1928 in Mercier, KS to John and Gertrude (Schuetz) Schaefer. He passed away January 28, 2012 in Sapulpa, OK at the age of 83.
Kenneth served in the Navy after graduating from high school for a short time before his Honorable Discharge due to medical reasons. He was a tire salesman and manager for Sears & Roebuck for many years and worked in sales for various other companies. After his early retirement from Sears, Kenneth worked on a ranch, drove a school bus, and made deliveries for courier services. He enjoyed fishing, reading paperback books, especially Louis L’Amour westerns, and playing cards or dominoes with family members. Kenneth’s most enjoyable times were the family dinners…. he loved everyone being together at the table.
He is survived by his wife, and the love of his life, Ramona Schaefer of Tulsa; his and Mona’s only child, daughter, Cheryl of Tulsa, 3 step-children that he raised as his own, Debbie of Owasso, Donna of Pawhuska, and Richard of Tulsa; four children from a previous marriage, Ronnie, Paul, Janet, and David; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude Schaefer; numerous brothers, sisters, and various other family members.
