Funeral services for Kenneth Ray Ecker, of Tulsa, were held Monday, October 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Andy Anquoe and Reverend Victor Bernhardt officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. “Pa” bearers were Victor Bernhardt, Robbie Bernhardt, Jeremy Bernhardt, Terry Morgan, Rich Thompson, and Kevin Thompson. Honorary “Pa” bearers were Kason Morgan, Chris Rackley, Randy Rackley, Jack Thompson, Bob Rackley, and Chuck Cantrell.

Kenneth was born July 21, 1943 in Turley, OK to Carl W. and Louise Arvelle (Hendryx) Ecker. He passed away October 7, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 68.

Kenny was a former Superintendent of Flintco Construction, and was a self-employed trim carpenter. He loved fishing and spending time on the lake. Kenny was a fan of Sperry baseball and football, OU Sooners, NASCAR, the New York Yankees, and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Kenny always thought of himself as a comedian. He loved playing jokes and was a competitive game player.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sue Ecker of the home; daughters, Kimra Bernhardt and husband Victor of Sperry, and Keli Morgan and husband Terry of Sperry; grandsons, Robbie Bernhardt and wife Jinger of Shawnee, Jeremy Bernhardt of Sperry, and Kason Morgan of Sperry; granddaughter, Karli Sue Morgan of Sperry; sister-in-law, Jeanne Rackley and husband Bob; brother-in-law Chuck Cantrell and wife Sherry of St. James, MO; sister by choice, Janet Thompson and husband Jack of Sapulpa; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Louise Ecker; sister, Joyce Gerian; and brothers, Everette Wayne, Gary Carl, and Jerry Lee.
