Kenneth Joe Bolen

Funeral services for Kenneth Joe “Kenny” Bolen, 56, of Sperry, were held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Chaplain Phil Best and Mr. Phil Johnson officiated.

Kenny was born April 30, 1962 in Tulsa, OK to Lucian Harvey and Hilda Elizabeth (Hall) Bolen. He passed away November 26, 2018 in Sperry, OK.

Kenny and Cari met while in junor high. They got married on September 13, 1986 and were married for 32 years. Kenny was considered a leader of the Bolen Clan. Kenny was a printer, a carpenter and a race car driver. He loved to hunt and fish, as well as go on family trips to Florida and Texas. He loved taking long bike rides with his beautiful wife, Mildred (Earl and Mildred were their biker names and an inside joke between Kenny and Cari). Kenny loved his friends and family, especially his grand babies.

He is survived by his wife, Cari Bolen of Sperry; son, Barrett “Bear” Bolen of Sperry; grandchildren, Joshua Bolen, Camille Bolen, and Legend Bolen of Sperry; brothers, Doug Bolen, Gary Ready and wife Carla, Leon Bolen, Billy Conn, Ken Webster, Stanley Taylor and Ron Bailey; sisters, Ann Taylor and husband Ken, Cathy, Lorena, Jami Ready, and Linda Bailey; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Betsy Bolen; brother, Phillip Bolen; and parents, Harvey and Hilda Bolen.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
