Iva June Deerinwater was born September 9, 1943 in Skiatook, OK to Ivan Sidney and Gertrude Irene (Dearman) Perigo. She passed away March 3, 2009 in Collinsville, OK.
She was a beautician. She loved to cut hair; it was her way of getting to know the person in the chair. Her cheerful spirit, and the way she loved to laugh was contagious. She loved going to church. June would talk to anyone, whether it be in Wal-Mart, the steak house, even strangers could get a smile, a hug and a good laugh. She was cheerful all the time. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren! Her nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters were also very special to her. As much as this time is to be sorrowful she would want us to be celebrating, not her death, but her life, her new life in Heaven. But we could not close without letting you know that she would want to see you all again! Life is short, but Heaven and Hell is eternal! Hope to see you in Heaven.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Deerinwater and wife Malissa of Skiatook, Troy Deerinwater and wife Jennifer of Sand Springs; daughters, Shannon Blankenship and husband Kelly of Skiatook, Sean Still and wife Mandy; sisters Sue Weathers, Nell Loney of Skiatook, and Dorothy Palmer of Sperry; grandchildren, Shadonna Mitchell, Emily Stout, Arryn Stout and Jacob Deerinwater, all of Skiatook, Alena Deerinwater of Tulsa, and Shawnee and Stetson Still; and great-grandchildren, Tuesday, Destiny, and Trinity; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Gertrude Perigo; son, Scott Perigo; brothers-in-law, Richard Loney, Sr., Darrell Weathers, and Johnny Palmer; and nephew, Butch Loney .
