Graveside services for Judy Gayle (Barnes) Bowman, 58, of Sperry, were held Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Reverend Gary Wayne Caughron officiated and honorary casket bearers were Jim Seago, Sandy Seago, Charlotte Rowden, Sergio Castillo, Sarah Gann, and Mike Tomelison.
Judy was born February 27, 1952 in Tulsa, OK to James Rex and Margaret Louise (Bradley) Barnes. She passed away December 8, 2010 in Skiatook, OK.
Judy was raised in Sperry and graduated from Sperry High School in 1970. She worked for Safeway/Homeland and later worked for Greenwood Fishing Center. Judy enjoyed coaching little league basketball throughout her daughter’s elementary school years. She loved being involved with rodeos and showing horses. In her youth, she was a Member of the Paint and Pinto Horse Association and won many awards. She was also a member of the Turley Round-Up Club when she was a child. Judy will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, George Bowman and wife Debbie of Sperry; daughter, Racheal Johnson and husband Darren of Sperry; grandchildren, Baylee Johnson, Clay Johnson, Nicole Bowman, Leah Bowman, Aaron Williams all of Sperry, and Alisha Bullard and husband Travis of Purcell, OK; great-granddaughter, Lindsey Williams; sisters, Mary Frances Enevoldsen of Lawton and Janice Wood of Skiatook; 12 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Barnes; and brother, James Rex Barnes, II.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
