Juanita Michelle (Hamblin) Owens

Memorial services for Juanita Michelle (Hamblin) Owens, 59, of Turley, OK, were held Monday, December 19, 2022, at Woodlake Family Church in Turley, OK. Pastor J.J. Jennings and Brother Charles Matlock officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Honorary Casket bearers were Billy Hamblin, Michael Hamblin, Clint Hamblin, Chance Turley, Tony Hamblin, and Wayne Burns.

Juanita was born June 14, 1963, in Tulsa, OK, to Billy Jack Hamblin and Carrie Ella (Robinson) Hamblin. She passed away December 6, 2022, in Checotah, OK.

Juanita was a lifelong certified nurse assistant. Juanita always made sure that children were protected. She was a very crafty person who also enjoyed baking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her nieces, and nephews; and her dog, Kuro. Juanita was the “glue” that held everything together and she always made sure that all of her family had a great relationship with each other. Juanita loved nature and traveling was her passion. She just loved living life on the lake and camping.

She is survived by her son, Billy Hamblin; daughter, Jennifer England; granddaughters, Heather Hamblin, Anaka Owens, Prudence England and Janna Gilbert; grandsons, Michael Hamblin, Sebastian England. Zachary England, and Noah Palmer; brothers, Tony Hamblin, Shawn Hamblin and Chris Bassford; sisters, Tammy Hamblin and Carrie Hamblin; niece, Jessica Marsh; nephew, Clint Hamblin; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Owens; mother, Carrie Hamblin; father, Bill Jack Hamblin; and brother, James Bassford.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
