Graveside memorial services for John Richard Reilly, of Tulsa, were held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Mr. Phillip Johnson officiated. Honorary casket bearers were Ricky Gifford, David Mason, Bruce Bugg, Susan Williamson, and Mary Ellen.

John was born November 12, 1940 in Scottsburg, IN to John Joseph Reilly and Marjorie Louise (Morgan) French. He passed away May 6, 2013 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 72.

John was a jeweler and gemologist for many years as well as a cross country truck driver. He also had a finance business. John graduated from Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, OK and went on to serve six years in the United States Navy. He liked to watch football and basketball games, horseracing and NASCAR races. John also enjoyed remodeling cars.

He is survived by his daughters, Monette A. Bugg and husband Bruce, and Amanda Reilly; grandchildren, Natalie Johnson of Sand Springs, and Kyle Padgett of Claremore; great-grandchildren, Brett Johnson, Braden Johnson, and Cameron Cain, and numerous other great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Moore of Tulsa, and Dorthea “Dottie” Gifford of Tulsa; nieces, Sherri Gifford, Jana Warren, and Lisa Mason; nephews, Richard Gifford, Jr. of Tulsa, Brian Gifford; and numerous other nieces and nephews; special friends, Susan Williamson, David Mason, and Mary Ellen; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie French; and step-father, Oscar French.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
