Jessie Faye (Crawford) Jackson

Memorial services for Jessie Faye (Crawford) Jackson, 100, of Collinsville, OK, were held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at A Glorius Church in Collinsville, OK. Judy Tucker officiated, and burial was in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, OK. Honorary Casket bearers were Jamie Stokes, Scotty Stokes, Dana Neighbors, Joseph Glenn, John Glenn, and James Tucker.

Jessie was born October 9, 1924, in Tahlequah, OK, to Charles Archibald Crawford and Josie Almeda (McKinney) Crawford. She passed away January 29, 2025, in Skiatook, OK.

Jessie was a devoted member of her church community, always ready to lend a hand. She joyfully prepared meals for church maintenance days and shared her culinary gifts at Falls Creek’s children’s camp. A creative soul, Jessie found delight in arts and crafts—from crocheting and sewing to solving jigsaw puzzles—and her green thumb was evident in her cherished garden. Family was at the heart of everything she did; she loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports, celebrating every moment of their achievements. Known in her earlier days by the CB handle “Going Jessie,” she was as spirited in conversation as she was in her writing, often choosing to express her feelings through heartfelt poems rather than traditional cards. Jessie was also one of many women who played a vital role during World War II as a “Rosie the Riveter”, and actually riveted on the wing of an aircraft. Jessie’s warm presence, creative energy, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her daughters, Connie Ray and husband, David of Collinsville, Paula Mitchell and husband, Marvin of Skiatook, and Judy Tucker and husband, Dwayne of Mannford; stepchildren, Darla Bohannon and husband, Dennis of Ramona, and Dalen Jackson and wife, Sherry of Ramona; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Jackson; parents, Archie and Josie Crawford; sisters, Cleona Troglin and husband, Vollie, and Viola Stepp and husband, Buck; and stepchildren, Paul Ray Jackson, Rodney Jackson, and Gary Jackson.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
