Funeral services for Jerry King Miller, 78, of Sperry, OK, were held Friday, May 31, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated, and burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jerry was born February 20, 1946, to John Harris Miller and Margueritte (Flippen) Miller. He passed away May 17, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.
Jerry Miller was a dedicated member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and earned a 30-year pin. He was generally known as a Pipeliner and worked all around the United States and the world. His passport shows that from 1991-1993, he was working internationally. His passport shows stamps from London, Bangkok Thailand - 1991, Malaysia - 1991, Kuwait - 1991, Singapore - 1991, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain - 1992, Indonesia - 1992, the Netherlands - 1993, Japan and Sahkalin Island, Russia. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war. Even though he was a world traveler, he was born, raised and lived in the Turley and Sperry area all his life. He loved this area and had many lifelong friends here. Jerry was an exceedingly passionate person in his views and that was obvious to everyone that knew him. He lived a righteous and Godly life and believed in the fundamental goodness of all men. He never married and didn’t have any children, but he had many, many friends. And he loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles. He rode far and wide going to Sturgis, South Dakota, multiple times.
He is survived by his relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margueritte Miller.
