Funeral services for Jeremy Shane Brown, 48, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Dillon Stewart, Billy Laughlin, Joshua Ramos, Mitchell James, Cody Morgan, and Kevin Littleton. Honorary Casket bearers were Marty Sproles, Bailey Sharp, and Michael White.

Jeremy was born on June 8, 1974, in Tulsa, OK, the only child to Jerry Alan Brown and Donna Kay (Nigh) Jones. He passed away April 22, 2023, in Bixby, OK.

Jeremy was truly a kind, caring, selfless and genuine person who knew and loved the Lord and his family. He worked as a delivery driver for a produce company for almost 20 years. He had a passion for music, and spent most of his time with his cousin, Shannon, making music, writing lyrics, and putting songs together. Jeremy also loved playing a good game of basketball with his cousins and attending family get-togethers where cookouts were the highlight. He loved his dog, Gracie, who was his sidekick and constant companion for 15 years. People who loved and knew Jeremy have fondly recalled the beautiful memories they shared with him, including his infectious laughter and his capacity to love. He has left an indelible mark on their lives, and his family is particularly mindful of his impact on those who were fortunate enough to have experienced his warmth and friendship. They feel blessed to have had Jeremy in their lives and cherish the moments they spent with him. Going forward, his family will continue to honor Jeremy's memory by treasuring the time they had with him, sharing his stories and love, and keeping his memory alive.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Jones and step-dad, Tracy, of Tulsa; father, Jerry Brown of Henryetta; brother, Billy Laughlin of Okmulgee; sister, Angela Gleese and husband, Clayton of Warner, OK; step-grandma, Nancy Nigh of Tulsa; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lanell Rios, “Papa” Jimmy Rios and “Grandpa” Bill Nigh; paternal grandparent, “Granny” Roberta Fleming; uncle, Terry Sharp; aunt, Bobbie Morgan; and Sam Laughlin who was like a father to Jeremy.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
