Janet Lee Herbert

Janet Lee Herbert was born October 8, 1943, in Davenport, IA, to Noel Harold and Alleyne Lavonne (Reyner) Childers. She passed away December 10, 2021, in Tulsa, OK.

Janet worked as a sales associate for Wal-Mart and retired after 15 years there. She loved working on various arts and crafts.  Hobby Lobby and Michael’s were her favorite stores to look for items and ideas. Janet loved to play indoor/outdoor games with her family; and have cookouts in the back yard. She loved babysitting her great-grandson. When Janet became ill, her short time left was with close family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Herbert, Sr.; children, Penny Tucker, Jenny Tucker-Dearden and husband Paul, Robin Renae Elmore and husband Fred, Brian Keith Herbert and wife Lisa, her brother  Larry Harold Childers and wife, Sue; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Alleyne Childers; stepson, Robert Wayne Herbert, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Anette Maria.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that everyone pick a charity of their choice and give to them this year; or an act of kindness for someone in need.
