Janet Louise (Watkins) Harris

Funeral Services for Janet Louise Harris, 87, of Skiatook, were held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sperry, OK. Seventy Donnie Carter, High Priest Elbert Rogers, and Elder C.H. Whiteman officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Janet was born November 30, 1922 in Villa Grove, IL to Allen R. and Bertha Cleo (Kindred) Watkins. She passed away June 29, 2010 in Owasso, OK.

Janet was a clerical worker for OTASCO (Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company). She loved flowers, especially roses, and enjoyed working with ceramics.

She is survived by her sisters, Winifred Teel, Frances Hampton and husband Morton; nieces, Anna Lee Acosta and husband Joe, Cheryl Gordon and husband Dick; nephews, Marshall Hampton, Mike Watkins, Greg Watkins, Barry Teel, and Alan Teel; 3 great-nieces, 6 great nephews; 3 great-great-nieces; 2 great-great-nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Bertha Watkins; brothers, George Watkins and Robert Watkins; and brother-in-law, John W. Teel.
