Jamie Brooks (Shklar) Cole

Funeral Services for Jamie Brooks (Shklar) Cole, 31, of Collinsville, were held Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Central Baptist Church in Owasso, OK. The Dr. Scott Carlson officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Cody Williams, John Patterson, Wacey Nowlin, Travis Bell, Pat Ditch and Aaron Depue. Honorary Casket Bearers were Brian Ball, Greg Ptacek, Jason Sullivent, Ken Ptacek, Mike Shklar, Josh Hope and Gabe Hope. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Jamie was born March 13, 1983 in Chickasha, OK to Steven Mark and Debra Kay (Ptacek) Shklar. She passed away December 17, 2014 in Owasso, OK.

Jamie was a nurse recruiter at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa for 12 years. She was a graduate of Sperry High School and earned her Associate’s degree at OSU-Tulsa. Jamie was a member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso. Her favorite times were spent being a wife and mother, then spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Stormy Nowlin Cole; daughter, Emmry Kay Cole; sisters, Bridgett Ball and husband Brian, and Mandy Sullivent and husband Jason; aunts, Connie Ptacek, Marcia Cantrell and husband Howard, and Dana Hope and husband Wes; uncles, Greg Ptacek, Ken Ptaeck and wife Adrienne, and Mike Shklar and wife Jonna; parents, Steve and Debbie Shklar; grandmother, Dorothy Ptacek; nieces, Lexi Ball, Alyssa Ball, and Jaiden Sullivent; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth Vincent “Pete” Ptacek, Robert Karl Shklar and Lou Ann Shklar; and cousin, Cheyenne Graves.
