Funeral services for James Walter “Jim” Rohrer, of Owasso, were held Friday, November 23, 2012 at Grace Baptist Church in Owasso, OK. Pastor Dean Tucker officiated and interment was in Caldwell Cemetery in Caldwell, KS. Serving as honorary casket bearers were Paul Grimes, Luke Grimes, Chad Holmes, Pat Huston, Travis Huston, Lance Rohrer, Cody Stuber, and Trae Volavka.
Jim was born December 14, 1947 in Caldwell, Kansas to Warren King and Minnie Louise (Mull) Rohrer. He passed away November 19, 2012 in Owasso, OK at the age of 64.
Jim was the owner of Once A Pawn A Time. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Jim loved to play golf every day and he was an avid collector of logo golf balls. He also enjoyed Sudoku puzzles and supporting the Rams by going to the Owasso athletic events. Jim was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Rohrer of the home; daughters, Tina Major and husband Scott and Tammy Benni and husband Steve; granddaughter, Austen Elizabeth Major; father, Warren Rohrer; brother, Mike Rohrer and wife Vicki; sister, Rita Grimes and husband Duane; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Rohrer.
