James Arlie Roberts

Funeral Services for James Arlie Roberts, 87, of Skiatook, were held Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Maurice Kisler officiated and burial was in the Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, OK. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

James was born December 2, 1922 in Thayer, OK to James and Lillie (Gage) Roberts. He passed away December 22, 2009 in Skiatook, OK.

He worked as a furniture salesman and he loved to fish. He served in the US Air Force and was stationed in France during World War II.

He is survived by his brothers, Paul Roberts and Lovelle Roberts; step-daughter, Diane Burt Washabaugh of Skiatook; step-son, Jerry W. Roberts of Skiatook; 5 step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gean Roberts; parents, James and Lillie Roberts; brothers, Floyd Roberts and Charles Roberts, and four sisters.
