James Luther "Jim" Brown

Funeral services for James Luther “Jim” Brown, 66, of Sperry, OK, were held Monday, January 6, 2020 at Osage Oaks Church of God in Sperry, OK. Pastor Jerry Harper, Jr. officiated. Casket bearers were Nathan Brown, J.W. Wallace, Nick Brown, Jamie Toth, Mark Givins, and Bruce Riggs. Honorary Casket bearers were Shawn Oates, Billy Lawrence, Levi Fleming and Wesley Johnson.

Jim was born December 7, 1953 in Chester County, PA, to Russell C. and Mary Rose (Davies) Brown. He passed away January 2, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.

Jim enjoyed wood working, working on various cars, gardening and planting trees, going fishing and making chocolate covered cherries.

He is survived by his wife, Saundra Brown, sons, Nathan Brown and wife, Naomi, and Nick Brown and wife, Rachel; daughters, Megan Klisiak and husband, Joe and Rozzie Brown; stepdaughter, Sarah Oates; stepson, Shawn Oates; several grandchildren; sisters, Connie Toth and husband, Jamie and Ginny Wallace and husband, J.W.; uncle, Lee Lyons; mother, Mary Rose Brown; best friends, Mark Givins and wife, Judy and Bruce Riggs; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Brown; aunt, Anne Lyons; uncle, Meredith Brown; and many others.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
