James Richard Leonard, Sr.

Funeral Services for James Richard Leonard, Sr., 73, of Collinsville, were held Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Brother Zac Klassen officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Johnny Leonard, Tommy Leonard, Tray Leonard, Gerald Schwartz, Gerald Imel, and Joe Ries. Honorary Casket Bearers were Lloyd Giles, Leon Giles, and Ricky Imel, II. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

James was born June 23, 1941 in Hackett, AR to David Leon and Susie Mae (Pigg) Leonard. He passed away October 20, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.

James was a plumber and did a lot of construction. He loved watching T.V., traveling and going fishing.

He is survived by his sons, Johnny Leonard of Turley, Jamie Leonard of AK, and Jeremiah Leonard of AK; daughter, Melissa of AK; sister, Mary (Leonard) Imel of Sperry; grandchildren, Brittani, Johnny, II, Cori, Michael, Tommy, Tray, Breana, Tiffany, Christina, Misty, Michael, Zane, Brandon, Amanda, Jeremiah, II, and Mercedes; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron, Makayla, Johnny, III, Waitt, and Jagger; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sons, James Richard “Richie” Leonard, Jr., and Joseph Leonard; parents, David and Susie Leonard; and sisters, Elizabeth Ann Leonard, and Betty Ruth Leonard.
