Funeral services for James Albert Fleming, of Skiatook, were held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Osage Oaks Church of God in Sperry, OK. Reverend Doyle Ginn officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were B.J. Alcorn, Michael Turley, Brian Alcorn, Tony Hill, Chad Young, and Cody Andrews. Honorary casket bearers were Charlie Turner, Ronnie Weathers, and LeRoy Weathers.
James was born September 11, 1947 in Jackson, MS to Clifford and Emma Lee (Bouler) Fleming. He passed away January 10, 2012 in Owasso, OK at the age of 64.
James was a truck driver. He enjoyed playing with his kids on the boat, and riding motorcycles. James was crazy about his wife, kids and grandkids. He was known for being onery and “crazy in general”, but that meant that he like you. James was always smiling. He enjoyed his host of friends at the Chuckwagon Diner.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonna Fleming; sons, Larry Fleming and wife Nicole of Grand Junction, CO, Mike Turley and wife Jamie of Sperry; daughters, Sandy (Fleming) Alcorn of Benbrook, TX, and Christy (Fleming) Doshier and husband Fred of Sperry; six grandsons; five granddaughters; one great-grandson; brothers, Allen Bouler, Alvin Fleming, Calvin Fleming, Walter Fleming; sister, Virginia Hyer; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Emma Fleming, granddaughter, Shelby Kaye Doshier; and sister, Donna Jean Walker.
