James Lee Bland

Funeral services for James Lee Bland, 75, of Bristow, OK, were held Friday, March 10, 2023, at Hope Community Church in Tulsa, OK. Pastor Ben Langley and Pastor Zach Leonard officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Amanda Grace “George” Davis, Benjamin Krause, Shawn “Bub” Davis, Melanie “Mel” Childress, Jesse “Jess” Pitts, and Chante Pitts. Honorary Casket bearers were Zayden Lee, Tobias Allen, Emilee Joyce, Sylis Edric, Gracie Paige, and Lilah Gail.

James was born May 22, 1947, in Kansas City, MO. He passed away March 5, 2023, in Bristow, OK.

James was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He was also a mechanic and used to work on race cars and motorcycles. He loved his Harley’s and going to various car shows, as well as watching his NASCAR races. James loved his family very much and enjoyed all of the family get-togethers.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Horton and husband, Len, and Kim Ezell and husband, Ernie; grandchildren, Amanda Grace, Shawn Davis and Melanie Childress, Jesse Pitts and wife, Chante; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Lee, Emilee Joyce, Sylis Edric, Zayden Lee, Gracie Paige, Tobias Allen, and Lilah Gail; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving, amazing wife, Linda Bland; and his loving, amazing daughter, Lori Gail.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
