Jack Ervin Underwood

Funeral Services for Jack Ervin Underwood, 86, of Collinsville, were held Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Collinsville Baptist Tabernacle in Collinsville, OK. The Pastor Gary Cate officiated and burial was in Sandridge Cemetery in Owasso, OK. Casket Bearers were Toshi Dickey, Lee Underwood, Nathan Hatfield, Brendan Hatfield, Bailey Perritt, and Bryce Perritt. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Jack was born July 31, 1923 in Tulsa, OK to Percy G and Thelma May (Clough) Underwood. He passed away April 28, 2010 in Tulsa, OK.

He worked as an engineer. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He was a life time member and past post commander of the VFW Post 3077. He was a proud member of the Collinsville Baptist Tabernacle. He played college football for Panhandle A&M.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite of the home; daughters, Donita Kay Bell of Collinsville, Patricia Ann Dickey of Sand Springs, and Elizabeth May Cook of Oologah; sons, Terry Underwood of Oologah and Michael Underwood of Collinsville; one sister; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and the protector, Daisy Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Thelma Underwood and two sons-in-law.
