Jack Glen Ervin, 79, of Skiatook, OK, was born on January 4, 1945, to Bennie Clifton Ervin and Audra Lee (Enloe) Ervin. He passed away on November 21, 2024.

Jack graduated from Avant High School and was proud to be a Chieftain. Jack was legendary among his family and friends for his irrepressible orneriness and zest for life. In his younger years, he was known for creating memorable adventures with his siblings, cousins, and many friends, always finding ways to entertain himself and those around him. Whether it was a mischievous prank, a witty joke, or an impromptu road trip, Jack knew how to turn an ordinary day into an extraordinary memory, leaving his family in stitches and creating stories that led to laughter for many years. Before serving his community as a Tulsa firefighter until 1979, service he took great pride in, Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Jack is survived by his son, Jeff Ervin and wife, Darlinda, and their children, Shelley, Lane, Coby, and Holly; his daughter, Lois Collins and her husband, James, and their children, Emily and Holly; his brother, Larry Ervin and wife, Norma. He was especially close to his many cousins in Oklahoma and Kansas who spent countless hours helping and supporting him. Jack was also grateful to have the friendship of his sister-in-law, Rosemary Allen Breuning. Throughout the years, Jack was fortunate to have dear friends like Terry and Lorraine O'Brien, who provided unwavering support and care; and his cousin and best friend, Rusty Ervin, who always stood by him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Holly Ann Allen Ervin; his parents, Bennie and Audra Ervin; and his sister, Elaine Gardner.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jack's life and honor his memory after the first of the year.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
