Funeral Services for Jack Curtis Brown, Jr., 56, of Turley, were held Thursday June 4, 2009 at the Faith Fellowship Church in Broken Arrow, OK. The Reverend Leon Dashner officiated and burial was in the McClain Cemetery in Locust Grove, OK. Casket Bearers were Jack Curtis Brown III, Angela Brown, Dayla Brooks, Thai Thompson, Leroy Curtis Brown, Johnny Jack Brown, Micheal Brown, and Dan Brown. Honorary Casket Bearers were Willard Cook and Jim Barnes. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Jack was born January 1, 1953 in Tulsa, OK to Lovell and Dorothy (Anglen) White. He passed away May 31, 2009 in Tulsa, OK.
He served in many occupations throughout his life. He was a fruit peddler, a carpenter, a handyman and a landscaper. As a fruit peddler, Jack traveled all over the United States, and was the first one to sell 1,000 boxes to a farmer in Michigan. He enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his family, and always made them laugh.
He is survived by his wife Frankie Brown of the home; children, Jack Curtis Brown III of Broken Arrow, Angela Brown and Shawn Roberts of Broken Arrow, Mark and Dayla Brooks of Broken Arrow, Thai and Amanda Thompson of Sperry, LeRoy and Christina Brown of Mobery, MO, Johnny Jack Brown of Mobery, MO, Micheal Wayne Brown and Chandra of Mobery, MO, and Dan and Crystal Brown of Tulsa; sisters, Nevada Cravis of Tulsa, Levada Thompson of Claremore, and JoAnn Taylor of Broken Arrow; 15 grandchildren; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lovell and Dorothy White; brother, James Brown; and niece, Misty Sharp.
