Funeral Services for Irene Lauvern Eddings, 88, of Sperry, were held October 27, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Sperry, Oklahoma. The Reverends Andy Anquoe and Don Queen officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma. Casket Bearers were Allan Miller, Frank Smith, Mace Payne, Jim Burt, Vernon Kessner and Buddy Kennedy. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Irene was born February 1, 1921 in Tamaha, Oklahoma to Carlisle Norman and Mary Margaret (Allen) Rose. She passed away October 23, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was a Beautician and a cook at First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and Crocheting. Irene loved to go to baseball games to watch her sons and grandsons play.

She is survived by her sons, Gary Eddings and wife Cookie of Sperry, OK, Larry Eddings and wife Melva of Sperry, OK, Kenny Eddings and wife Tracy of Broken Arrow, OK, and Jerry Eddings and wife Alice of Dothan, AL; brother, Pat Rose of Stigler, OK; sisters, Helen Welton of California and Gail Roberson of Keota, OK; grand-children, Jay and Jeff Eddings, Missy Smith, Mary Kush and Moriah Eddings; seven great grand-children, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, along with a host of other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Corwon Eddings; brothers, Boyd Rose, James Rose and Frank Rose; mother, Mary Rose and father, Carlisle Rose.
