Funeral Services for Homer Ray "Butch" Ridgway, 72, of Turley, were held Thursday, April 1, 2010 in Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Mike Albert officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers were Ray Ridgway, Jeff Ridgway, Ron Oakley, Marty Blanchard, Buddy Ridgway, Ferron Kempton, Dustin Heistand, and Shane Smith. Honorary Casketbearers were Don R. Wilson, Jon Engles, Bill Blanchard, Kenny Brooks, Abe Ridgway, Aaron Coleman, Davey Coleman, John Christner, Dale Godfrey, and Tim Blanchard. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Butch was born July 28, 1937 in Casa Grande, AZ to Homer Ray, Sr. and Edna (Snow) Ridgway. He passed away March 28, 2010 in Sperry, OK.
He was a retired truck driver for many companies over his lifetime. He loved music and television especially old comedy shows. He enjoyed playing pool and eating out. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and giving them a hard time.
He is survived by his wife, Judy M. Ridgway; sons, Ray Ridgway and wife Michelle and Jeff Ridgway; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Amanda, Erin, Darla, and Samantha; grandsons, Buddy and Zachary; honorary grandson, Shane Smith; sisters, Janie Blanchard and husband Bill, Annabelle Coleman, Cathy Kempton and husband Ferron, and Linda Turnbull and husband Kenneth; brother, Albert "Little Ab" Snow and wife Caroline; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Ridgway, Sr.; mother, Edna (Snow) Ridgway; step-mother, Juanita (Morgan) Ridgway; and sister, Brenda Ridgway.
