A heartfelt memorial service was lovingly conducted for little Henry Benjamin Haylock, a precious infant from Collinsville, OK. Services were held Monday, October 9, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso, OK, with Pastor Blake Altman officiating. Honorary casket bearers were Ezra Haylock and Archie Haylock.
Henry was born July 7, 2023, at 10:15 PM, one minute after his identical twin brother, Archie, to Elroy Tristan Haylock and Jeanette Joy (Rhodes) Haylock. Henry was born at 2lbs 15oz. He passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior while in the arms of his mother on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at the age of 2 months and 23 days.
Henry was born with the most severe form of Tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart disease that disrupted the circulation of blood and ultimately, oxygen. His case, unfortunately, was inoperable. For 85 days Henry fought the good fight and used all his strength to be able to leave the NICU. He spent one night in his earthly home with his family in Collinsville before passing to his eternal one. Henry loved listening to music. His favorite songs were “Don’t You Worry Child” from Swedish House Mafia, and the song his momma made up just for him. He would light up when his parents and favorite nurses would come to see him. Even when sleeping, he’d know you were there and would do what he could to swindle you into holding him or staying with him longer. He also loved to hear his daddy’s voice. However, Henry’s favorite thing to do was snuggle up next to his twin brother and sleep. The bond they shared was unexplainable. Henry was, is, and will continue to be more loved than he could ever imagine.
Henry is survived in death by his parents, Elroy and Jeanette Haylock; his twin brother, Archie Haylock; his oldest brother, Ezra Haylock; and many other family members and honorary family.
In lieu of flowers, the Henry Benjamin Haylock Memorial fund is set up through Trinity Presbyterian Church at give.trinityowasso.com.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
