Funeral services for Harry Eldon Davis, Jr., of Oologah, were held Friday, May 3, 2013 at Christview Christian Church in Tulsa, OK. Reverend Jimmy Foreman officiated and a private family committal followed. Casket bearers were Brian Teutsch, John Fletcher, Aaron Robinson, Jorge Mendoza, Scott Campbell, and Chris Ogan. Honorary casket bearers were Ben Campbell, Madyx Canton, Riley Teutsch, Cason Teutsch, Richard Bowman, Zane Bowman, Josh Robinson, Matthew Robinson, and Joey Robinson.
Harry was born August 25, 1965 in Primghar, IA to Harry Eldon, Sr. and Ruth Ann (Kolp) Davis. He passed away May 1, 2013 in Oologah, OK at the age of 47.
Harry worked as an industrial machinist for 30 years until bad health forced him to retire. He loved to spend time with his grandson watching Sponge Bob and car shows. Harry enjoyed his time playing in poo with his best buddy John. Harry was a large man whose heart was as big he was because of his love for family, friends, and life.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Davis of Oologah; daughters, Melissa of Tulsa, and Cheyenne Rose of Oologah; grandsons, Ben Campbell and Madyx Canton; god-daughters, Antonia Mendoza and Julian Mendoza of Broken Arrow; sisters, Naomi Thorlton of IL, and Rachel Bush of GA; in-laws, Sandra Auwarter and husband Wendell, Menagh Bowman and husband Richard of Oologah, Kim Lusty and husband Mike of IN; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Harry Sr. and Ruth Davis; and baby sister, Wendy.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
