Harold Ray Roat

Graveside services for Harold Ray Roat, 84, of Talala, were held Monday, April 27, 2015 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Reverend Danny Stanley officiated. Casket bearers were Kyle Roat, Steve Roat, Aaron Dugger, Sean Duncan, Chris Sole, and Steve Trammell.

Harold was born May 18, 1930 in Bixby, OK to Frank Cameron Roat and Lucy Ann Porter. He passed away April 23, 2015 in Talala, OK.

Harold served in the Army from March 28, 1951 to March 27, 1953. He worked in the refrigeration maintenance industry before retiring from Warehouse Market. Harold loved the outdoors, his grandchildren, riding around the property on his golf cart, and enjoyed experimenting with and repairing machine parts turning them into contraptions, and metal detecting. He was also very competitive at board games and dominoes.

He is survived by his sons, James Harold Roat of Coweta, and Mark Allen Roat of Talala; daughters, Linda Kay Duncan of Sperry, and Sharon Lynn Dugger of Tulsa; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Howard “Bud” Roat of Talala; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Dean Stacy; granddaughter, Erica Rachel Duncan; 9 siblings; father, Frank Cameron Roat; and mother, Lucy Ann Porter.
