Memorial services for Hallie Virginia Thomas, 72, of Clarks Summitt, PA, were held Monday, August 27, 2018 at North Point United Pentecostal Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Wesley Witcher and Reverend Kevin Neil and officiated.
Hallie was born June 25, 1946 in Scranton, PA to Alfred Walter Thomas Jr. and Anne (Calhoun) Gibson. She passed away August 26, 2018 in Tulsa, OK.
Hallie sold Tupperware for many years, as a very successful Executive Manager leading up to 35 women to their own personal success. She then transitioned to a very fulfilling career working for Duke University, from which she retired. Hallie was a dedicated long-time member of the United Pentecostal Church in Durham, NC. She went on to complete her education later in life. She graduated #1 in a class of 20 somethings. Hallie was a fierce animal lover, and protector. She loved to collect Charles Dickens Village houses. Above all else her faith, family, and the care of ALL animals were what mattered most to her.
She is survived by her sons, Rev. Wesley Bennett Witcher and wife Michelle of Tulsa, OK and Dane Thomas King of Tulsa, and his furry baby Brindi; three wonderful grandchildren, Bethany Michelle Garcia and husband Eric of Tucson, AZ, Katherine Nicole Witcher and her fiancé Trey of Tulsa, OK, and Bennett Thomas Witcher of Tulsa, OK; great-granddaughter, Luna Garcia; brother, Alfred Walter Thomas III and wife Kay of Greenville, SC; sister, Denise Thomas Harrell and husband Richard of Atlanta, GA; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Harry Bennett Witcher of Chatham, VA and her parents, Alfred Walter Thomas Jr. of Clarks Summit, PA and Anne Calhoun Gibson of Greenville, SC.
