Funeral services for Goldie Beatrice Cooper, 92, of Owasso were Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 in the Owasso First Assembly of God Church in Owasso.
Pastor Bruce McCarty officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Sperry, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.
Pallbearers were Kelly Mull, Chance Doty, Keith Deckard, Mike Branen, Stan Branen and Steve Branen.
Honorary pallbearers were Dee West, Randy Cooper, Terry West and Shawn Cooper.
She was born Feb. 15, 1915 in Sand Springs to George Harvey and Lillian (Puckett) Maddux. She passed away on Jan. 12, 2008.
She was born in a small community at Bruner Station near Tulsa. She married Wesley Elbert Cooper on Nov. 19, 1932. They made their home in the Tulsa area where they ran a dairy farm for many years.
Her most cherished accomplishment was that of mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her four children, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She also enjoyed listening to her old records of Bob Wills and to Gospel music.
She is survived by her son, Elbert "Tuffy" Cooper and wife Mary of Tulsa; daughter, Deloris West of Owasso; grandsons, Dee West, Randy Cooper, Terry West and Shawn Cooper; granddaughters, Sheree Reamy and Connie Cooper; nine great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Elbert Cooper; sons, Elmer Ray and Cleo Cooper; sisters, Anna Mae Barton and Pearl Liles; brother, Bud Maddux; and parents, George and Lillian Maddux. Family and friends can sign the guestbook at www.johnsonfhsperry.com.
