Gerald Lee "Jerry" Jeffers

Funeral Services for Gerald Lee "Jerry" Jeffers, 71, of Sand Springs, were held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend David Morrow officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket Bearers will be Steven Spencer, Thomas Jeffers, Lee Bryant, Daniel Jennings, Bill Denton, and John Mericle. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.

Jerry was born August 19, 1938 to George Lee and Hope Irene (Fletcher) Jeffers. He passed away March 12, 2010.

Jerry was a retired welder and retired maintenance worker for the Sand Springs School District. He loved to spend time training and riding horses and he always enjoyed watching a good rodeo.

He is survived by his wife, Jan of the home; children, Mike and wife Michelle Jeffers of Sand Springs, Deb and husband John Wayne Coles of Sand Springs, Denise and husband Doug Bryant of Sand Springs, and Rocky Jeffers of Sand Springs; sister, Brenda and husband Dusty Rhodes; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hope.
