Gary was born February 3, 1953, in Tulsa, OK, to Jack Glover and Wilma Ruth (Hixson) Glover. He passed away April 5, 2024, in Owasso, OK.
Gary Lee was the 2nd oldest of 11 children. Gary and his two brothers, Denny and Jackie were owners of Glover Produce and hauled potatoes for Frito Lay in their 6 semis for many years. Gary bought his own dump truck before going to work for other dump truck companies. He was always known for being a hard worker and one of the most dependable people you had ever met. Gary was ornery, especially to all the children in the family. He was known to them as “Scary Gary”. He was so loved and always showed attention to the kids. Gary was a great brother looking after his siblings as they were growing up. He was also a true and loyal friend to many. Our grandma called him, “Bobo”. Gary would say, “I’m Bobo Oats” (a well-known fighter back in the day). His niece Amanda, called him “GG”. Gary loved his barbeque and was called the “Little Red Devil” by the family-owners of Oklahoma Style Barbeque because he could eat their hottest sauce. He became good friends with them and was a loyal customer to them. He will be forever loved and will be greatly missed by all of us.
We love you, Gary Lee!
He is survived by his brothers, Jackie Glover, Roger Glover and Chris Glover and wife, Melinda; sisters, Shirley Brownlee and husband, Jimmy, Lisa Crewe, Lynda Smith and husband, Darrin; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
