Memorial services for Freda Faye Davis, 66, of Wagoner, were held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated. Honorary casket bearers were Freda’s best friend, Brenda Rhode, all of her Long Bay Area friends, and all of her grandchildren.
Freda was born January 21, 1949 in Sikeston, MO to Dee Flanigan and Lillian (Forrest) Peterson. She passed away March 23, 2015 in Wagoner, OK.
Freda worked at Zebco as an assembler. She loved fishing and trying to catch “Ol’ Whomper Jaws”, and would go fishing rain or shine. She loved going to garage sales looking for bargains. Freda and her sisters loved going pecan picking. She loved that quality sister bonding time. Freda loved cookie jars and what started out as a little thought turned into a giant collection. Freda certainly loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Davis of Wagoner; children, Dusty Hellard and wife Debbie of Owasso, Kenny Hellard and wife Amy of Collinsville, and Melvina Johnson and husband Donnie of Wagoner; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Evans and husband Robert of Wagoner, Eula Hutchinson and husband Robert of Collinsville, and Erma Mink and husband Mike of Claremore; brother, Everett Flanigan and wife Gail of Broken Arrow; several aunts and uncles of MO; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dee Flaningan; mother, Lillian Peterson; and step-father, Carl Peterson.
