Funeral services for Frankie Marie Elliott Young, 70, of Tulsa, were Friday, January 11, 2008 in the Memorial Park Chapel in Tulsa.
The Reverend Gary Nagel officiated and burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Tulsa, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sperry.
She was born November 28, 1937 in Hulbert to Delver Z. and Irma M. (Agee) Wilson. She passed away on January 5, 2008.
She attended the Oklahoma School for the Deaf in Sulphur in the class of 1956. She graduated from Draughon School of Business as a key punch operator. She worked as a utility worker for American Airlines SkyChef for several years.
She enjoyed writing poetry and had many of her poems published.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Elliott of Sperry and Connie Elliott of Albertville, AL; son, Jeff Elliott of Albertville, AL; grandchildren, April Fendley and husband Clifton of Catoosa, Joshua Elliott of Pryor, and Michael Quandt of Oklahoma City; four great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Crandell and husband Ed of Broken Arrow; life-long friend, Barbara Bowlin-Moore of California; many other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tressa Dawn Elliott; parents, Delver and Irma Wilson; brothers, Woodrow Wilson, James Wilson and Leonard Wilson; sisters, Rosalie Faucett, Lou Willingham, and Alta Mae Wilson. Family and friends can sign the guestbook at www.johnsonfhsperry.com.
