Funeral Services for Frank Richard Baumgarten, 85, of Sperry, were held Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. The Reverend Estell Ray officiated and burial was in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casketbearers were Jack McCutcheon, Andy Herman, Mike Holcomb, Gene Holcomb, Kenney Ray Baumgarten, and Melvin Byrd. Honorary Casketbearers were Floyd Schulte, Bill Emery, Don Walker, Sam Bradley, Dennis Herman, and Kenneth Baumgarten. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
Frank was born December 25, 1922 in El Paso, TX to James Frank and Ada Mirtie (Brewer) Baumgarten. He passed away October 21, 2008 in Sperry, OK.
He was a supervisor at McDonald Douglas aircraft manufacturing. He was the owner of Tire Town and Quiet Corners Mobile Haven. He loved owning cattle. He liked taking trips to Mexico and Las Vegas. He was avid member of Turley United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Baumgarten; daughter, Desseen Herman and husband Dennis; son, Kenneth Ray Baumgarten and wife Wanda of Springdale, AR; grandsons, Andy Dale Herman, and Kenney Ray Baumgarten and wife Cassandra of AR; granddaughter, April Dawn and husband Clinton Warnock of Kellyville; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dessie Doreen McCutcheon Baumgarten; parents, James Frank Baumgarten and Ada (Brewer) Baumgarten Bradford; stepfather, J.A. Bradford; and sister, Carolyn Billman.
